Family Child Care Providers
Job Overview: A Family Child Care Provider serves a small number of children located in a Family Child Care Home residence where, at any one time, more than two children, but less than nine children receive child care. In North Carolina a licensed family child care home is regulated by a public agency that is responsible for overseeing the provision of child care and/or school-age services. In the state of North Carolina funding comes primarily from parent fees, the subsidized child care system and the Child and Adult Care Food Program.1,2 |
