NC Early Educator Certification (EEC) - A professional certification issued by the North Carolina Institute for Child Development Professionals. It is required of all those working in programs regulated by DCD. All new hires must apply within 60 days of begnniing employment in a regulated program. All existing hires have until July 1, 2012 to secure certification.
