• North Carolina Credentials Application
• Criminal Record Check -  Please see the Division of Child Development website at www.ncchildcare.net and choose the “DHHS Criminal Record Check” option for information and forms regarding the criminal record check process
• BSAC – A 5 hour introductory level training event for school age care professionals that are new to the field.  The training includes the following modules:  1) Quality Care, 2) Health, Safety, Nutrition, 3) Child Development, 4) Environmental Design, 5) Developmentally Appropriate Activities, and 6) Guiding Child Behavior.  N.C. Licensing Regulations are woven throughout the session. This training is required by the NC Division of Child Development for school age care professionals working in licensed programs but is a great training for new staff in any afterschool program setting.

NC Early Educator Certification (EEC) - A professional certification issued by the North Carolina Institute for Child Development Professionals. It is required of all those working in programs regulated by DCD. All new hires must apply within 60 days of begnniing employment in a regulated program. All existing hires have until July 1, 2012 to secure certification.

• EEC Renewal Requirements.- Those certified on the School Age Professional Scale must complete two semester hours or three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or a combination of the two within their certification validity period.
